Level: Early to Mid Elementary
Landmarks builds confident reading across the entire stave by using C and G as clear visual “anchor” notes. Through carefully structured leaps and register shifts, students learn to travel freely around the keyboard while keeping a relaxed, compact hand and smooth, lateral arm movement.
The book progresses through five stages, each expanding the student’s map of the keyboard:
- Stage 1: Introduces C5
- Stage 2: Introduces G2
- Stage 3: Adds the notes between C5 and C6
- Stage 4: Introduces C2
- Stage 5: Consolidates all new landmark notes
